We collect the least we need, tell you exactly why, and never sell your data. Here's the full picture.

Our promise on your data

We collect the least we need to make ReviewMe work, we tell you exactly why, and we never sell your personal data. You stay in control — you can review, correct, or delete your data, and withdraw consent, at any time.

What we collect, and why

Account info (phone number): to create your account and sign you in securely. Without it, we can't give you a wallet or pay you.

Location at the moment you review: to verify you actually visited the business. This is the heart of what makes reviews trustworthy and rewardable. We check your proximity and do not track you in the background.

Reviews you write: to deliver them to the business and, where relevant, show them publicly. This is the service you're using.

Payment references (via Razorpay): to process top-ups and payouts. We never see or store your full card details — Razorpay handles that securely.

Basic device signals: to detect fraud and keep rewards fair for honest users.

Consent — on your terms

We ask for permission before we collect anything sensitive, and we ask in context — for example, we request location only when you tap to review, so you know exactly why. You can say no and still browse; some features simply won't work without the data they depend on, and we'll tell you which.

You can withdraw any permission later from Settings or your device, without losing access to the rest of the app.

How long we keep it

We keep your data only as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations (such as tax and anti-fraud records). When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data, except where the law requires us to retain certain records.

Your rights

Under India's DPDP Act 2023 (and GDPR if you're in the EU), you can access, correct, and erase your data, withdraw consent, and complain to a regulator. Email us and we'll help — quickly and without making you jump through hoops.

Sharing

We share data only with the providers that make ReviewMe work (e.g., Firebase for secure infrastructure, Razorpay for payments) under contracts that protect it, and when the law requires. We do not sell your data to advertisers.

This document is provided for transparency and is not legal advice. ReviewMe recommends consulting a qualified lawyer to tailor these policies to your final business model before launch.
